WHAT IS ZERO?
AND WHAT DOES ZERO DO?

ZERO is an object... a COMPUTER object.
We get to "see" this object. And we call "it" ZERO!
To us, ZERO is a like a real person. "He" gets to do the kinds of things that WE like to do: Go for a walk, meet other people... you know, DO things!
ZERO has REAL FUN and WE DO TOO!!!

ZERO gets to take trips on a special road, called "The Information Highway".
(this road is SO small, it fits inside YOUR computer!)
So, when you play with ZERO, YOU CAN GO ALONG with him on this fun highway!
When we are with ZERO...WE get to go to special places and do special things!

The "world" that ZERO lives in is also a special place!
ZERO's world is also REALLY, REALLY SMALL:
It's SO small... it also fits inside your computer!
Imagine how small the whole WORLD would have to be, to fit inside your computer!

This special world has a name:
It's called THE FIBERSPHERE.

The world of the Fibersphere isn't round (like OUR world). Instead, it's shaped like a raindrop!

In his world, ZERO likes to meet other objects.
There are other "PEOPLE OBJECTS" in The Fibersphere!
Some people objects are GOOD and some are BAD!
It's JUST LIKE THE REAL WORLD!
One Object is ALWAYS bad...
This object's name is "Q".
The Q-object comes from a scary place called the QUANTUM QUANDRY!
What makes "Q" REALLY scary is that sometimes Q can appear like a "He"... and sometimes like a "She".

Because "Q" can change the shape of "his" object... he can FOOL US!
Q likes to FOOL people like us! Sometimes "he" looks like a "Good Guy" or "she" seems like a "Nice Lady"-- but Q is NEVER nice at all!

Fortunately, WE have a secret way to catch Q-- before he/she hurts another object!
(that secret is TOO secret to tell you right now. After all, YOU might be "Q" and you're fooling ME!!!)

So kids, when we go on adventures with ZERO, we have to BE CAREFUL what we do!
We have to be careful who we talk to and what we tell them!

Because there is MAGIC in the world of ZERO!
And WE control the magic! Because WE control the "objects" in our computer!
The fun thing is that the objects in our computer stand for REAL THINGS in the REAL WORLD!
So, when there's a PROBLEM in the Fibersphere (the world where ZERO lives)...
then there's also a REAL problem in the REAL world (where we live!!!)
Yikes! Watch out for cars on the highway, kids! That bad old "Q" might be driving!!!
